Charlotte has over 25 years experience in social development gained in a range of contexts working with DFID, international agencies and NGOs. Her experience includes social exclusion, gender, migration, climate change, urban poverty, social protection, and small enterprise development. She has extensive project management and team leader experience, as well as: project/programme design and implementation; research and use of evidence; monitoring and evaluation. Charlotte has knowledge and expertise in a range of countries as well as in conflict-affected and fragile states, on themes including gender, violence against women and girls, social protection, and empowerment and accountability. She is experienced in designing and managing social research projects, linking research to policy and practice, and undertaking policy analysis. Charlotte has worked as a policy-maker, academic, researcher, practitioner and consultant in a range of contexts, including DFID, UNICEF, UNDP, UNIFEM, WTO, ILO, IOM, World Bank, and NGOs including Oxfam, HelpAge International, and Save the Children.
